Chapter 01
The lumber gets inspected before it gets nailed
Every load that shows up on site gets looked over before it goes into a wall. Bowed studs, split ends, wet stock, any of it goes back to the supplier for credit or replacement instead of getting used anyway and hoped for. It is a slower first hour on a delivery day, and it is the reason a wall built here does not develop a bow six months after drywall goes up.
That habit costs the supplier a little more paperwork. It costs the owner nothing, because the bad piece never made it past the truck.

Rough framing held level, straight and plumb
Level, straight and plumb sounds like three words for the same thing until a wall is out of plumb by a quarter inch over eight feet and every trim piece after it has to fight that lean. Our framing crews check all three, on every wall, before the next trade ever gets near it.
That discipline at the framing stage is what makes finish carpentry later look effortless. A trim carpenter working against a true wall does clean work fast. One working against a crooked one is patching problems all day.
Chapter 03
Finish work, cabinetry, hollow metal doors and hardware
Finish carpentry is where a commercial space stops looking like a shell and starts looking like a finished building: trim, cabinetry, hollow metal doors set square in their frames, hardware that latches the first time instead of the third.
We buy hollow metal doors and hardware to the spec the space actually needs, not a catalog default, because a door that gets used forty times a day in a commercial building is a different animal from one in a house.
Metal studs and drywall
Most of our commercial interior work runs on metal stud framing rather than wood, because it holds a straighter line over a long run and it does not move with humidity the way lumber does. Drywall goes up over it to a finish grade that matches what the space is for, office-grade smooth where people will see it, utility grade where they will not.
